In her latest blog for the official Chelsea website, season ticket holder Hannah Kurzawski reflects on a positive result and a eye-catching partnership between Eden Hazard and Gonzalo Higuain against Huddersfield…

If there was one thing we needed after the disappointing result against Bournemouth in midweek, it was Saturday’s fine performance and result at Stamford Bridge.
It was the perfect response. A thoroughly convincing win, a great attacking display and our new centre-forward finding himself on the scoresheet for the Blues for the first time, not once, but twice.

I was a little apprehensive on my way to SW6 on Saturday. While in recent weeks we’ve enjoyed reaching the final of the League Cup by knocking out Spurs at home and also qualifying for the fifth round of the FA Cup, the Blues were going into this game against Huddersfield on the back of two consecutive losses in the Premier League.

February is when the season starts to go up a gear, with the knockout stages of European competitions beginning and the latter stages of the cup competitions approaching, all in quick succession with league games. Chelsea have a testing month coming up.

The Blues face Manchester City twice – once in the Premier League and again in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley, they meet with Manchester United in the FA Cup, play two legs against Malmö FF in the Europa League, and also welcome Spurs back to Stamford Bridge at the end of the month. It’s a big month, that’s for sure.
