Arsenal are reportedly set to welcome their players back through the doors of London Colney next Tuesday.

Gunners players will return to training for the first time since being placed on self-isolation after the positive coronavirus test recorded by manager Mikel Arteta.

The news that the Gunners boss had tested positive for COVID-19 was essentially the straw which broke the camel’s back when it came to shutting Premier League football down last week, with top-flight matches now cancelled until further notice.

Arsenal’s players and staff were all sent away for 14 days after coming into close contact with Arteta, although there have been no further reports of positive tests at the club since.

Some Arsenal were stars were already self-isolating before Arteta’s test having come into contact with the Nottingham Forest and Olympiakos owner Evangelos Marinakis at last month’s Europa League clash against the Greek side.
