An important success for Alphonso Davies and Canada. The North American side beat Haiti 1-0 in the early hours of Sunday morning in the second qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Cyle Larin scored the only goal of the game on 14 minutes with Davies playing the full 90 minutes.

The 20 year-old FC Bayern left-back now has to prepare for the second leg that would be played on the night to 16 June at the SeatGeek Stadium near Chicago. The winners after the two legs qualify for the last round of qualifiers that would be play between eight teams from September.
