Deportivo La Coruna vs Barcelona Preview
Barcelona come into this game following a truly remarkable comeback win against PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday night. All of a sudden, they are back in real contention to land the treble, which would be some send-off for Luis Enrique. This game is perhaps tougher than it would’ve been a few weeks back but it’s still one they should have little trouble winning.

Deportivo have improved since appointing Pepe Mel as their new boss last month. They’ve taken 5 points from 3 games under the former Betis boss to move 5 points clear of the relegation zone. Overall though, there is still a lack of quality in their squad and if Barcelona hit the level they’ve reached in recent games, they won’t stand much chance. Depor have only won 1 of their last 12 games in all competitions and are yet to win at the Riazor this calendar year.

They’ve conceded in 83% of their home games this season in La Liga and have conceded 1.58 goals per game on average this term. Perhaps more worryingly from their point of you is that this is one of Barcelona’s happiest hunting grounds. The Catalan giants have scored 21 goals on their last 4 visits alone and couldn’t exactly be heading into this match on a more positive note.

Barca average 2.85 goals per game away from home in La Liga this term, conceding just 0.92. They’ve won 69% of their away matches and average 2.31 points per game on their travels, which is the best record in the division. They’ve won all of their last three competitive games by 5 goal margins and played some brilliant football at times.

Their star in midweek was Neymar who scored a brilliant free-kick before playing the decisive ball to set up Barcelona’s last gasp winner and he has arguably been their most consistent performer this season. The Brazilian has scored in all of Barca’s last 3 matches and backing Neymar to score anytime at 10/11 looks good here.

Depor will put men behind the ball and try to make Barcelona’s life difficult but they aren’t brilliant at the back and the gulf in class should be evident come full-time so backing Barcelona -2.0 Asian Handicap at 2.04 looks to offer value.

Prediction: Barca win 2-0
