APPIANO GENTILE – Less than 48 hours on from Inter’s precious victory over Atalanta and ahead of Sunday’s match against Torino, Roberto Gagliardini spoke to Sky Sport about the positive spell that the Nerazzurri, who have recorded seven consecutive league wins, are currently enjoying: “There’s great enthusiasm, we’re doing well. We’ve played some big sides since the halfway stage and picked up some important results. We need to continue in this fashion, taking it game by game. With twelve matches remaining, there’s still a long way to go. It’s only natural to think about the Scudetto, and everything depends on us. We need to carry on pushing forward with the same ruthlessness and hunger. If we continue to play like we’ve been doing lately, we’ll have a better chance of being successful.”

Things are really starting to heat up in the league: “We’ve currently got a six-point lead and need to remain determined. No team has ever caused us big problems, so we need to focus on our path. AC Milan are enjoying a great season. Juventus, meanwhile, have always been considered the biggest contenders and will now only be focusing on the league. Roma, Napoli and Atalanta shouldn’t be forgotten about either.”

Finally, the Italian midfielder commented on his relationship with Antonio Conte: “You know the Coach: he has great hunger and charisma, provides each player with the right amount of motivation and makes everyone feel important. When we take to the pitch, we have very precise tasks to perform: we always know what we have to do in both phases. We’re a united group and have a single objective. We think as a team, conduct ourselves professionally, train as hard as possible and ensure that we’re all ready.”
