The madridista forward reached 32 goals for his country against Russia.


Hazard is now the second highest goal scorer in the history of the Belgian national team. The madridista was the star in his side’s win over Russia 1-4. His brace means he has 32 goals for his country, surpassing Paul Van Himst and Bernard Voorhoof (30) on the list. Only Romelu Lukaku is ahead of him (with 52 goals). Hazard hit this milestone after 106 games for the Belgian national team. Against Russia, Hazard played all 90 minutes, assisted for the first goal and scored the second and third. Courtois also played the entire game.

Hazard’s international debut came on the 19th November 2008, at just 17. His first goal came in 2011, at home to Kazakhstan. He was in the team that came third at the World Cup 2018, where he had a stellar tournament and received the Silver Ball award.
