Goals inside the opening 13 minutes from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota set the Reds on their way to an incredible away victory, with Mohamed Salah then becoming the first visiting player to score a Premier League hat-trick at Old Trafford.
The Reds were imperious in the Premier League showdown at Old Trafford and raced into a two-goal lead within 13 minutes courtesy of finishes from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota.


Salah then helped himself to a treble either side of half-time – the first by an away player at the stadium for more than 18 years – to take his tally for the season to 15 goals.

The No.11 was firmly looking forward as he assessed the win post-match, however, as he underlined the team’s determination to make a major challenge for the title.

It’s great to win 5-0 here away. We knew before the game it was going to be tough if we didn’t play our game, if we didn’t play our football. We managed do that from the beginning, which made the game a bit easier.
