Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly planning a swap deal to lure Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus away from Etihad in the summer, according to a report in CalcioMercato [via DailyStar]. The Italian outlet reports that the Old Lady could use their Brazilian forward Douglas Costa as part of the swap deal that would see Jesus join I Bianconeri.

Juve are looking to bolster their attacking department in the summer, and Jesus has emerged as a target for Maurizio Sarri’s team. Jesus has struggled to earn a regular place in Cityzen’s starting lineup and hence, may be willing to leave the Manchester outfit.

This also comes amid reports that Jesus’ agent Giovanni Branchini has refused to rule out a potential exit for the 23-year-old Brazilian star from the Etihad.

However, the former Palmeiras forward has been pretty impressive for Guardiola’s side ever since joining the Premier League in 2017. He is also seen as a replacement for Aguero once the Argentinian hangs up his boots.

Meanwhile, Douglas Costa has also found it difficult to earn playing minutes. The player has been inconsistent at the Serie A side and has only made 18 appearances in all competition for the Italian outfit. I Bianconeri may be sitting atop the points table in the Serie A, but there has been a dip in their performance, and they are expected to spend in the summer in order to improve their squad.
