Leicester City is struggling with their title-defense so far all season. The team has been winless in five of their last six matches to drop to the 15th spot of the 20-team English top flight table, only three points above the bottom three relegation zone.
The Foxes are coming off a 2-2 draw with middling club Stoke City on the road at the Bet365 Stadium last Saturday, as per Daily Mail Online.
With the game still scoreless, Leicester was a man-down in the 28th minute of the match after English striker Jamie Vardy was sent off with a straight red card for a hard challenge on Senegalese forward Mame Biram Diouf.
The Potters quickly took advantage of the setback with two goals in the first half, courtesy of forward Bojan Krkic and midfielder Joe Allen in the 39th and 45th+3 minutes respectively.
However, head coach Claudio Ranieri’s boys were able to fight back with two goals of their own in the 74th and 88th minutes from Leonardo Ulloa and Daniel Amartey to salvage the draw.
Meanwhile, Everton was nipped by Liverpool, 0-1, at their home ground of Goodison Park last Monday for their fifth winless game in their last six outings, SkySports reported.
The game looked headed to a goalless tie until Senegalese forward Sadio Mane scored the lone goal of the match for the Reds four minutes into the stoppage time to snag away the three points in the overall standings.
Everton is now down to the ninth spot in the league table, tied on points with eighth-place squad West Bromwich Albion but has a lesser goal difference.
