Reds manager adamant there is more to come from his side after they narrowly missed out on the 2018/19 title

Jurgen Klopp says his Liverpool team can get even better next season as they seek their first Premier League title.

The Reds finished only one point behind Manchester City, who retained the Premier League Trophy thanks to a 14-match winning run culminating in a 4-1 final-day win at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Klopp’s men fell agonisingly short despite a nine-match winning streak of their own but the manager was pleased that his team earned 22 more points than their 75 of last season, when they finished fourth.

Our season was good as well, a really good season, an unbelievable season, – Klopp told liveonScore. If you would get an award for the biggest development jump I can remember, the boys would get that because it was completely different.

We will go again
We made unbelievably big steps and I really expect more to come. That’s the truth.

We will go again. This team tried it for the first time and I really think they did quite impressively to try the first time.

This team is one of the best that ever played for Liverpool, 100 per cent. But we play in a league with other very good teams. That’s what we have to accept.
