Both Valencia CF coach Marcelino García Toral and player Carlos Soler have spoken to the media in the press conference ahead of the Champions League match that will be played tomorrow in Mestalla.

Marcelino said: “We are very excited and we want to meet the initially planned objectives”

President Anil Murthy has come and we saw him speak with you

The president comes many times to training, we have a very fluid relationship and therefore, I have to thank the Club for the support and love that I have always had from the direction.

What are your goals against Manchester United?

We are going to play a game that we did not want to play in these conditions, without having qualifying options. At this point, the priority is the match against Eibar. This is what we think in the club and we will make decisions thinking about what is a priority. At the same time it is a Champions League match that will have consequences given that we have another match three days later. We will decide the team based on what we consider a priority.

Carlos Soler said: “It’s a game to show that we can compete and beat big teams in Europe”

How do you face the game tomorrow, where you play to be seeded in the Europa League?

It is a Champions League match and although we have no options to go to the knockout stages, last season we worked a lot to be in this competition. Manchester United is a tough opponent and we want to show we can beat he top teams in Europe in front of our fans, as well as gain confidence before the game against Eibar.
