If Serie A does resume on May 20, the plan would be to conclude the season on July 2, playing the outstanding Week 25 fixtures first, then the remaining 12 rounds.

The campaign was halted after March 8 due to the coronavirus pandemic and FIGC President Gabriele Gravina has mentioned May 20 as a pencilled-in date to resume playing.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, the plan is to use May 20 for the outstanding Week 25 games, which were postponed at the end of February.

Those are Atalanta-Sassuolo, Inter-Sampdoria, Torino-Parma and Verona-Cagliari.

After that, the original fixture list would be respected with a game practically every three days.

Week 27 would be on May 23-24, Week 28 on May 27-28, Week 29 on May 30-31, Week 30 on June 3-4, Week 31 on June 6-7, Week 32 on June 10-11, Week 33 on June 13-14, Week 34 on June 17-18, Week 35 on June 20-21, Week 36 on June 24-25, Week 37 on June 27-28 and the Scudetto assigned on July 2.

This does not take into account potential Champions League and Europa League ties, of course, but Italy is further along in the pandemic than other European nations.

They had multiple cases several weeks earlier and therefore were the first to enact a lockdown.

The number of new cases and deaths have stabilised, although there are still on average 750 deaths per day this week.
