??????? Liverpool FC ? FC Porto ??
Liverpool beat Porto 5-0 on aggregate in last season’s round of 16, all the goals coming in the first leg in Portugal – Sadio Mané scoring a hat-trick.

??????? Tottenham Hotspur ? Manchester City ???????
This is the first time Spurs and Manchester City have played in UEFA competition. City were 1-0 winners away to Spurs in the Premier League on 29 October. The return game in Manchester is scheduled for 20 April.

Manchester City have lost both previous ties against English clubs, going down 2-0 on aggregate to Chelsea in the 1970/71 European Cup Winners’ Cup semi-finals, and losing 5-1 to Liverpool over two legs of last season’s UCL quarter-finals. City have therefore lost all four European games against fellow English sides.

??????? Manchester United ? FC Barcelona ??
A reminder that Manchester City and Manchester United are not able to play at home on the same night, nor on consecutive nights, following a decision made by the relevant local authorities. The first leg of United v Barcelona will therefore be at Old Trafford. This will be the first two-legged tie between Barcelona and Manchester United since the 2007/08 UCL semi-finals, when United’s Paul Scholes scored the only goal in the Old Trafford second leg.

Barcelona and Manchester United have played in just one other two-legged contest in UEFA competition, the English club overturning a 2-0 first-leg loss in Spain with a 3-0 victory at Old Trafford in the 1983/84 European Cup Winners’ Cup quarter-finals.

There have been no away wins in fixtures between Barcelona and Manchester United; Barça’s record at the Camp Nou is W2 D2, while at Old Trafford, United have the same record: two wins and two draws. Barcelona beat Manchester United in the UCL final in 2009 and 2011, Lionel Messi scoring in both games.
