The defender bagged his first Real Madrid goal with a left-footed strike to make it 1-0 at Camp Nou.
David Alaba opened his goalscoring account for Real Madrid in the Clásico win at Camp Nou. The defender broke the deadlock after a move which he started and finished himself. He launched the counter-attack by stealing the ball back and laying it off to Vinicius Jr. who switched play to the right, picking out Rodrygo who saw Alaba cut inside from the left and slipped the ball to him. The Austrian drove into the box and finished with a powerful left-footed shot.

It was a great goal from the central defender, who was delighted after the game: “It’s a nice feeling. My first Clásico and my first goal. I’m very fortunate and grateful to be able to enjoy this moment, but the win for the team is more important”.
