Our team started the game well, collecting several chances. However, the hosts took the lead through Óscar Plano. The goal came 18’ in following an excellent counter-attack. Simeone’s men tried their best to equalise, and were close to doing so several times. Our best chances of the first half were two headers from Giménez and Felipe and a left-foot strike from Suárez. However, we reached half-time one goal down.

We kept pushing after the break and collecting chances. Suárez and Giménez were close to finding the equaliser via two headers. And finally, in the 57th minute, Correa scored a worldie to make things 1-1. Lodi and Joao Félix came on for Hermoso and Saúl not long after. A few minutes later, Suárez completed the comeback via a beautiful left-foot strike. It was the goal we needed, and Simeone brought Kondogbia on for Llorente. Herrera came on for Correa in the end and Atleti held on to the one goal lead to secure the 2020/21 LaLiga title.
