Pep Guardiola says he and his City players are braced for a tough challenge from Fulham in Sunday’s FA Cup fourth round clash at the Etihad.

In the wake of the Cottagers’ relegation from the Premier League last season, Scott Parker’s side have impressed in the Championship this term and currently lie third in the table.

And, speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of the game, the City boss said he was in no doubt that the Londoners would provide a stern test for his side.

“What I saw, it’s a really good team and I like the way they play,” Guardiola declared.

“It’s not easy to be relegated and the year after to be there again.

“When a team is third in Championship it’s because there is something.

“It’s a team that wants to play, it has personality. We spoke about that with the team and hopefully we can play because it’s a final.

“We will try and do our best.”
