Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Darmstadt Betting Tips
Eintracht Frankfurt will host Darmstadt for their Matchday 19 clash on Sunday where they hope to lock the points against league strugglers and build on their 3rd Bundesliga spot. The visitors travel to Frankfurt in a poor spell of form as prime favourites for relegation and there’s little to suggest they can take anything away from this fixture. We’ll thus go for a home win with a generous banker bet here at 11/20 with William Hill.
Die Adler have started the year with a comfortable and disappointing loss at RB Leipzig (3-0) but they’ve returned to the winning ways with a narrow win over Schalke last week (0-1) and we can now see them confident to lock all three points at Commerzbank-Arena. They’re yet to suffer their first loss at home this season, bagging 18 of their 32-points total there, and it’s a longshot to assume Darmstadt can cause an upset!
The visitors have been in a horrendous run on the road with eight consecutive league losses and 20 goals conceded in the process. Furthermore, they’ve found the net on just four of those occasions and up against one of the league’s best defensive lines we don’t believe they can make an impact.
We’ll thus back Eintracht to keep a clean sheet here at 5/6 with BetVictor, hoping to see them untangle this one early on. For those keeping the faith, home win HT/FT comes at a very good-looking 6/4 with the same bookie and we certainly see it become a popular pick this weekend.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Darmstadt Stats
Interestingly, the teams have met just three times in recent history and Darmstadt do have better records with two narrow wins (0-1 in December 2015 and 1-0 in September 2016) and one loss (1-2 in April 2016), but with their current form we don’t feel they can cause such troubles this time around.
We’ll go for a more confident display for Eintracht here and back a 2-0 home win at 11/2 with bet365, which could be more than just a lively longshot as we expect Die Adler taking revenge for the loss early in the season.
