A former member of Egypt’s national country’s coaching staff, Hany Ramzy has claimed that European giants, Real Madrid tried to sign Liverpool striker, Mohamed Salah in the months leading up to the 2018 Champions League final

Salah took the world by storm in his debut campaign for the Reds in 2017/18 as he scored a staggering 32 goals in the Premier League as well as providing a further 10 assists though he failed to make an impact in the Champions League final against the Los Blancos as he had to leave the pitch after injuring his shoulder.

Jurgen Klopp’s men eventually lost the tie 3-1 and Salah could have been on the victorious side if he accepted the offer from the Los Blancos, as per Ramzy

“I was talking to Salah and he told me that Real Madrid sent him an offer. The offer was really good, but Salah discussed it with me and Mr. Cuper, and he decided to stay with Liverpool because he was comfortable there,” he said as quoted by AS.

The decision to stay put at Anfield was the right one for the player as he went on to win the Champions League the following season, with there being no doubt that he is one of Liverpool’s most important player, scoring 91 goals in 144 appearances so far.
