The weekend’s final match of Ligue 1 match week 10 cannot get any bigger as the fiercest rivalry in French football takes place in Paris. Champions PSG will take on Marseille in what should be a cracking game of football.

PSG have had a slow start to the season under Unai Emery but their form is starting to take shape in Ligue 1 and in the Champions League. Domestically PSG has won the last two games and have won 4 from their last five which has saw them climb into 2nd place. Their star striker Edinson Cavani has scored 13 goals in 11 matches and is looking very sharp.

The big news for Marseille happened off the field when they changed owners. The club was sold for 45 million Euros to Frank McCourt and the American has ambitious plans for a club who has struggled the past few seasons and finds itself in 12th place going into this match.

PSG vs Marseille: Head to Head Stats

PSG have total dominance over Marseille, from the last 10 games PSG has won all of them. Marseille have not had a look in. Half of those wins has ended in the same score line of 2-0. The last four fixtures have all ended with 3 goals or more.

PSG vs Marseille: Prediction

This is a perfect opportunity for coach Emery to get all of the fans on his side after a difficult start. PSG are simply too good for Marseille who has yet to win a game away this season.

There are no indicators to think otherwise. Emery demanded much more from his side after they beat Basel in mid-week and that was a crying call for this game. PSG are obliged to be ready and so should we.
