Villarreal midfielder Manu Trigueros appeared in front of the media to analyse the upcoming UEFA Europa League final, where the Yellows will face Manchester United this Wednesday (9pm CEST).
The midfielder underlined that it will be a very special tie for Villarreal CF: “It’s a very special game for us because of all that we’ve experienced in this club. For everything that this final means for our fans and because of the club’s history. For a lot of us, it’s also the most important game of our professional careers. I’m sure that it will be a very special match for all of us.”
Trigueros also backed his team to try and take control of possession: “In an open game, we have a lot to lose. We will try and take the game to our strengths. Have the ball, be positioned well and stick together. All of us know our team-mates very well. From our philosophy, we will try and hurt Manchester United.”
